Pole Vault Angle Bar

$250.00

The Pole Vault Angle Bar is a training device that your vaulter can use to help learn the difficult top end positions of an Elite vault.

Below are some reviews from a few of our customers.

“Thank y'all so much for our Angle Bar! It is strong, durable, and has helped us get from PR to PR. One of the big challenges in pole vault is how to train properly when you can not always be jumping. This has been a very useful tool. Very easy to put together and attach. It can be taken down or moved very easily. We are in South Texas and like our good friends in Florida, all we need is a tree branch in the back yard to train year round on it 🙂! The only thing that might help it work better is an adult medium Angle Bar T-shirt!”

“The angle bar has helped me tremendously during the early stages of the pandemic when everything was shut down. After many uses of it, I was able to properly invert and it was a smooth transition going from the bar to an actual pole. Now, I implement it into my routine and the invert is the least of my concerns. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to work on the invert by “

”The Ryland PV Angle Bar is an amazing tool, well built and designed for teaching the pole vault event. While it teaches the kids the proper technique for getting into the inverted position, i find most kids can’t exactly experience that proper position without a drill tool like this to help. To use it properly they have to get in the right position. Most high school kids don’t have the requisite strength to get inverted in the first place. This allows them to experience something close to the right body position.
But what sort of surprised me the most was that the kids thought it was a really cool device, so they all wanted to try it out. In stealthy way, it got them to do a highbar drill without me cajoling them to do another set. They just wanted to sort of show off that they could do it, too.
I finally put up a highbar at the field so we could do more high bar drills. But for a month, it was our main highbar strength tool.
Thanks for making it available.”

”Good afternoon. Our vaulters have been using the PV Angle Bar for almost one year. The first thing they discovered was needing to improve their core strength. They couldn't use it correctly because of not doing enough or correct core strength drills. Once they improved their core strength and could use the bar correctly it helped them learn the proper use of the left arm and to pull at the proper time to get vertical. Thank you

”The pole vault angle bar has been an incredible tool to help our vaulters with the inversion phase of the vault. I used it for my college athletes when I coached at the University of North Florida and we are using it at Nease High School where I'm assisting in my retirement. It is the one tool that truly mirrors the vertical movement in conjunction with the pole. It really comes close to getting athletes who are new to the event get that final and difficult phase of the vault. I highly recommend it as a crucial learning tool.”

”The angle bar is the ultimate tool for pole vaulting! I got one because I was getting "stuck in the bucket"—I couldn't get all the way inverted—and I was struggling for months to try to fix it. This tool fixed that problem and worked wonders on improving my swing, and it didn't take long, either.
With pole vault, it's normally hard to fix technique because you can only do it when you're vaulting. Further, you only really get about 10-15 good vaults before you start to fatigue (and fewer if you work out before, as many multi-event athletes do). With the angle bar, though, I can work on technique without a pit, without run ups, and without fatigue. It's especially wonderful because I only have access to a pit for a few months, whereas I can train with the bar year-round.
I would recommend this product to any vaulter who doesn't have one already. It's that brilliant. I just hope my competitors don't get one!”

”We purchased the pole vault angle bar last year after seeing it advertised on social media.
It has been a great technical tool to use in strength training circuits for inversion simulation when off the track.
We recommend the pole vault angle bar from all the way down under in Australia.
Kind Regards “

”Love the exercise bar. I took it to the gym and my trainer put together some variation exercises to include in the workout. Dealing with speed, # of reps etc.
I did have to do two things when I received the angle bar.
1. There was only 1 clamp included for the chain and it itself did not close all the way. So I had to replace it plus buy a second clamp.
2. The foot tube was too slippery I kept losing my grip as I pushed up so I put some non slip material on it……the kind they use for skateboards and it works very well. I can now not worry about slipping off.
After the modifications the angle bar is a very good tool to the polevault sport.”

”Just a quick note to say thank you. I purchased the angle bar for my daughter for Christmas. She used it 3 times at a local park and hit a PR in her second meet of the season. It was that quick:first meet = hit the bar >> intro angle bar at park >> second meet PR = amazing”

”The Pole Vault Angle Bar has been a great addition to our arsenal of tools here at Sky High Pole Vault Club. We really like how it places the vaulter in the dreaded "bucket" position that a lot of vaulters get into and shows how to get out of it. We especially like how it demonstrates how the bottom arm is supposed to collapse once the hips start driving up avoiding blocking with the bottom arm. We would recommend this training device to anyone who is looking to improve in the pole vault!”
